Robert (Bob) Critchley
Bob Critchley is a strategic workforce consultant, company director, and published author. He works closely with business organisations developing strategies to ensure employees are motivated, passionate and achieving work/life balance leading to sustainable corporate prosperity and profitability.
He is also currently Executive Chairman of Outplacement company Hunter Bligh, which assists clients to deal with workforce contraction in a respectful and supportive fashion. In his prior corporate role, Bob was International President for DBM Inc, the world's leading outplacement and career management company, responsible for business operations in 49 countries. Bob had earlier started and developed the DBM business as a licensee in Australia and sold it to the US parent. He also served as President, Asia Pacific for DBM. Bob also developed a specialist business focusing on corporate turnarounds and training.
Bob is Chairman or Director of companies in various industries including facilities management, ladies fashion retail, transport and construction.
Prior to establishing his businesses, Bob was Deputy Managing Director of Societe Generale Australia Limited, responsible for all its business activities, as well as achieving a significant turnaround in its performance. Previously, he held senior management positions with Bank of America, Citibank and National Australia Bank working in the United Kingdom, USA, France and Australia.
As an author, Bob penned his globally acclaimed book "Rewired, Rehired, or Retired?" which focuses on enhancing the quality of peoples' lives and ensuring they fulfil their desired potential. His second book titled "Doing Nothing is not an Option! Facing the Imminent Labor Crisis" develops the concept of creating a winning workplace by tapping the talents of the ageing workforce and creating flexible work practices to maximise organisational performance. His latest book is "Rewire or Rust!".
